"Awaken" is a learning-temperature management app (iOS / iPadOS / macOS) that helps you record what you learn and manage review pacing along the forgetting curve. We know how private learning data is — this policy explains what we collect, where it lives, and what we use it for.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: the name and email Apple provides when you sign in with Apple (or a hidden relay address); or the username and email you enter when registering.
- Learning data: the learning records, questions and scores, review logs, plans, and library entries you create.
- Content you upload: photos, audio, video, and handwriting on images (stored on JD Cloud object storage, OSS).
- Device information: device model, OS version, and push token (APNs Device Token, used to send review reminders).
- Service logs: request logs kept by our servers for operations and security — they never contain your learning content.
2. Where Your Data Lives
Your data is stored on JD Cloud servers and JD Cloud object storage that we rent (data centers located in mainland China). Your device also keeps a local copy to support offline use.
3. How We Use This Information
- Providing core features: temperature computation, review queue, multi-device sync and backup;
- Sending the review reminder notifications you have enabled;
- Improving stability and fixing issues.
We will never: sell your data, use it for advertising, or share your learning content with any third party. The app contains no third-party ads or behavioral-tracking SDKs.
4. Transport & Security
All services use HTTPS-encrypted transport. Server access requires authentication; databases are backed up daily.
5. Your Rights
- View & export: you can view and export your learning records in the app at any time;
- Delete data: you can delete any single record or all of them — deletions sync to the cloud;
- Delete account: you can delete your account and all data yourself in the app under "Settings → Account"; or email zz@gyretech.cn to request deletion — we will erase your account and all data within 7 business days;
- Revoke permissions: camera, microphone, photo library, and notification permissions can be turned off anytime in iOS system settings; turning them off only affects the corresponding features.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. After account deletion, your personal data is removed from production databases and backups within 30 days. Server logs are kept for at most 30 days.
7. Minors
This app is not directed at children under 13. If you find a minor using the app by mistake, contact us and we will delete the relevant data.
8. Policy Updates
If this policy changes, we will update this page and note the effective date. For major changes we will also notify you inside the app.
